biography

Madrique Dashaun Sanders a.k.a, DRIQUE LONDON, is a hip hop artist hailing from Raleigh, NC. Drique was born on August 2, 1991 in Selma, NC, but grew up from the streets of Queens, NY and Raleigh, NC. With that mixed upbringing, Drique was influenced by the best of both worlds. He describes his style as “down south resident, with up north flavor” doing his best to separate himself from the rest.

At the age of 4, Drique was introduced to Snoop Doggs "Gin and Juice" and from there, he knew he wanted to rap. Studying the technique of artists such as Snoop, DMX, early Lil Wayne, Wale and Currency, pushed Drique to perfect his craft and hone in on his artistic style and wordplay.

In 2009, he started a label, D.O.C (Dreams Of Children) Music Group and took over the sounds of his local area. Under the label,  Drique released his debut LP, "Sound of The Rising Sun" in early 2015.

Drique found that his consistent drive and motivation has gained him more exposure, which led to being featured on Respect-Mag.com, opening for Curren$y, showcasing at SXSW and being featured on numerous radio shows. From NY, DC, VA, Atlanta, and of course his home state North Carolina; Drique’s hard work ethic and show stopping performances deserves its buzz.
